According to Greg Purdy, vice president of marketing and public affairs for the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, around 234 customers are stranded at the bottom and top of the tram.

The tram was operating, but the exit road had been washed out by the storm.

Purdy confirmed that visitors were able to return down the mountain by 6:20 p.m. On Tuesday, the Tram will stay closed.

This follows a storm that dumped significant rain on the mountain, flooding parts of the tram station.
