Microsoft Corp (MSFT.O) launched a premium Teams messaging offering powered by ChatGPT on Wednesday to simplify meetings with the AI chatbot that has taken Silicon Valley by storm.
According to Microsoft, the premium service will cost $7 per month in June before increasing to $10 in July.
ChatGPT, which is owned by OpenAI, will generate automatic meeting notes, recommend tasks, and assist Teams users in creating meeting templates.
Microsoft, which announced a multibillion-dollar investment in OpenAI earlier this month, has stated that it intends to incorporate ChatGPT technology into all of its products, paving the way for increased competition with Alphabet Inc's (GOOGL.O) Google.
The chatbot, which can generate prose or poetry on command, is at the forefront of generative AI, a field in which more and more big tech companies are investing.
ChatGPT announced a $20 per month subscription plan on Wednesday, which will give subscribers access to faster responses as well as priority access to new features and improvements.
